Went fishing with paw paw. He caught 2 crappie and a catfish. That was all.

The time of day and the degree of the out going low tide play a huge roll on what days to take off from work to get at these fish. Bank access is limited which means having a boat gets you to places others can't go.

Nice picture of that chinook. Out here in Oregon the coastal waters are just starting to pick up . Most of the early fish will be caught out of a boat trolling herring or large spinners. Later the tide water areas will begin to show fish when casting 3oz. bobbers with salmon egg roe and sand shrimp in deeper holes. Fish keg up in the deeper spots when the tide goes out. Knowing when the low tides are and when is the key to catching fish.
