About: <p>Alan Liere, a life-long resident of eastern Washington, is an award-winning humor columnist for <em>Wildfowl</em>, <em>Northwest Fly Fishing</em>, <em>Southwest Fly Fishing, Eastern Fly Fishing, Petersen’s Hunting, </em>and<em> The Upland Almanac </em>magazines.  He has published thousands of articles in dozens of regional and national magazines and several papers. Graduated twice from Eastern Washington University, once with a B.A. in education and again with an master’s in non-fiction writing, Liere taught school for 30 years until retirement released him from his misery.
