I would urge any one whom loves to catch bass to come out to Harris Brake Lake for the weekend. I suggest staying at Harris Brake Lake Resort, it has been under new ownership for the past year or so. The bass on this 3300 acre lake are currently or in the middle of there spawn, and good for the picking. I go out every morning, weather permitting and never come back to the dock with less than 3 good size largemouth bass. There is a bait store with all you need to angle and if you need a boat, they are available for you cheap too. I own a two man 7' foot Scamper 2 bass boat and run a 30 lb thrust minne lotta only. There are rev hook ups and plenty of tent space and on Fridays 7:00 pm, we have a bluegrass, country, gospel, folk music jam fest with nothing but local and amateur musicians, lots of family fun. I know because I live here as a permanent resident. Absolutely no riff raff are allowed. We don't put up with that nonsense. BBQ also, free. Byob, just don't lose control. Hope to see you here.
